Project Progress

We have a lot going on over here at C&M Interiors and as we promised when we started this blog we want to give you a peak in to everything we are up to and the current projects we are working on. Although we don't have any progress photos to share with you just yet, we wanted to show you how you could get a similar look of a project we are currently working on. This project is traditional, warm and inviting. And although we typically source using to the trade only manufacturers, you can certainly achieve a similar look if you follow the guidelines below!

1.  Let's focus on the living room, and let's pretend you have a rectangular living room that is 20' x 15' with large windows and a kick ass fireplace (similar to our client). We will start by mirroring two 6 foot long rolled armed sofas in a bold color. You can find something similar to what we use here .

2..Then you want to go on a hunt for that very special rug that speaks to you. Rugs are like art, different things appeal to different people and they are an investment. Choose something wisely that won't be trendy and you will love for years to come.

3.  Add an enormous cozy and neutral ottoman to the mix.

4.  Add an open coffee table that will allow you to see what is most likely the coolest part of the new rug you just fell in love with. By putting something heavy here, you will miss out on enjoying this work of art you just invested in. Place the coffee centered about 2' from each sofa.

5. Apply two bunching tables to flank each sofa for setting down drinks and a table lamp. Now that you have filled up about 2/3 of your room, let the other 1/3 be a place for your passions. Add a piano, a space dedicated for reading or even knitting. Fill the rest of the room with pieces you treasure, or have collected from the around the world. And I beg of you, do not hang a television above your stunning fireplace.
